Electrical Inspector

Swindon & surrounding / £45,000.00-£47,000.00 per year

Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well‑established and expanding organisation in a professional Electrical Inspector position.

This role sits at the heart of our technical assurance function. You will be responsible for undertaking structured electrical inspections and compliance audits across a variety of workstreams, providing independent oversight and professional judgement. Your remit is to ensure that electrical works meet required standards, align with current regulations, and reflect best practice across the industry.

The position is remote‑based, with daily visits required to attend planned site visits within a reasonable travelling distance covering an area in and around Swindon and sometimes slightly further afield. Work is scheduled and coordinated by our central planning team, allowing you to focus on inspection quality, analysis, and reporting rather than day‑to‑day logistics. Inspections and documentation are supported through the use of electronic systems and devices.

You will work closely with, and report directly to, a Technical Line Manager, receiving ongoing professional support, guidance, and access to specialist advice. There will be periodic attendance at the office for structured training, technical briefings, and professional development meetings.

This role would suit someone seeking a career‑focused, professional position with autonomy, responsibility, and influence over technical standards, rather than a site‑based installation role.
