Are you a stickler for detail and passionate about keeping homes safe?
We are looking for an experienced Gas Safety Inspector to join our team. You’ll be the eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring our contractors’ work meets the highest standards of safety and quality. What you’ll be doing
- Quality Assurance: Carrying out onsite inspections of completed gas safety checks to ensure they meet industry regulations and our internal standards.
- Scrutiny & Reporting: Reviewing LGSR documentation, identifying discrepancies, and providing clear, actionable feedback to management.
- Decision Making: Assessing proposed remedial works and associated costs, ensuring work is necessary, fairly priced, and completed to a high standard.
- Collaboration: Working independently while staying connected with our office team, sharing insights that help us improve our service.
About you
You bring technical expertise, but just as importantly, you bring a professional, respectful approach when entering people’s homes. We need someone who is:
- Organised: You manage your own schedule and time effectively.
- Communicative: You can explain technical issues clearly to contractors and colleagues alike.
- Trustworthy: You are respectful of our clients’ homes and privacy.
- Knowledgeable: You have a deep understanding of current gas safety legislation and building regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
To hit the ground running, you will hold:
- Essential: CCN1 (or suitable changeover) including CPA1.
- Essential Appliance Elements: CENWAT1, HTR1, and CKR1.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in domestic gas work.
(We value further qualifications, so please let us know if you hold LAU1, DAH1, MET1, CKHB1, CMDDA1, or CONGLP.)
What’s in it for you?
- Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 per year.
- Support: You’ll be provided with a company van, an electronic tablet, and a mobile phone.
- Flexibility: While this is a field-based role, you’ll have the autonomy to manage your remote working effectively.
