M&E Manager

Department: Technical Services (M&E)
Salary: £55,000 to £58,000 (plus company vehicle)
Location: Hybrid (Home, Client Offices, and Clear Safety Offices)

Clear Safety is seeking a motivated and technically skilled M&E Manager to lead our Technical Services (M&E) department. This is an exciting opportunity to shape service delivery, oversee multiple contractors and projects, and provide expert technical support across a diverse client base.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality, safe, and compliant M&E operations, collaborating closely with our Fire Safety and Compliance teams to deliver exceptional results. This hybrid role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

About the Role

  • Lead the M&E department, managing a small internal team and a network of contractors.
  • Oversee the safe, compliant delivery of electrical works and M&E projects.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical guidance on M&E, fire alarm systems, and AOVs.
  • Conduct weekly on-site inspections and performance reviews against KPIs.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Support strategic growth, process improvements, and innovation in M&E services.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • At least 15 years’ experience as an electrician and ideally 5 years in an electrical management role.
  • Proven fire alarm and AOV system experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop others.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Installation
  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical
  • 2391 Test and Inspection qualification
  • Fire alarm system and AOV experience

Preferred:

  • 2396 Electrical Design qualification
