Clear Safety is pleased to announce its successful reaccreditation under the BAFE SP205 (Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme), a nationally recognised benchmark for competency and quality in fire risk assessment services.

This reaccreditation follows a comprehensive audit process and confirms that Clear Safety continues to meet the rigorous standards required by the BAFE SP205 Scheme. The new certificate will be valid for three years, with annual maintenance inspections to ensure ongoing compliance and quality assurance.

The BAFE SP205 Scheme is designed to provide independent evidence that providers are competent to deliver fire risk assessments that protect life safety. It is widely recognised across the UK fire safety industry, including by the Fire Sector Federation (FSF) and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), as a trusted method for sourcing qualified fire risk assessors

To achieve and maintain this certification, Clear Safety must demonstrate:

  • Robust evidence of assessor competence, including experience, training records, and documented CPD.
  • Effective management systems that ensure assessments are thorough, clear, and actionable.
  • Independent validation of each fire risk assessment by a designated Validator, ensuring objectivity and quality control.

SP205 also requires that fire risk assessments are presented in a format that is easily understood, clearly documenting all significant findings, risk severity, and recommended actions

This reaccreditation reinforces Clear Safety’s commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant fire risk assessments for our clients across the UK. It also provides assurance to duty holders and responsible persons that they are working with a provider who meets the highest standards in fire safety.
